Upgrade Systems for the Transition from Analog to Digital Radiography

The Edge family of DR upgrade systems operate in conjunction with existing X-ray generators, providing distributors and value-added resellers with solutions for a broad range of customer clinical needs. Utilizing the existing X-ray generator helps keep upgrade costs down and extends asset life for better return-on-investment.

The Edge DR upgrade systems includes:

• The Quix DR Console and one or two QuixDB Digital Buckys for installation in a stand, radiographic table, or both.

QuixDB Digital Bucky
The thin-profile QuixDB Digital Bucky is designed to directly replace the film-screen bucky in a wall stand or radiographic table. No complex table modifications are needed, simplifying the upgrade process and minimizing downtime. Each QuixDB Digital Bucky includes a QuixFP-100 flat panel detector having a nearly 17" x 17" direct capture sensor enabling both portrait and landscape images without detector rotation; and a five-field AEC that ensures proper alignment with patient orientation for upright or recumbent exams in a tilting wall stand or U-arm system. Alternatively, a standard three-field AEC can be used.

Quix DR Console
Designed for maximum clinical efficiency with a touch-sensitive LCD screen and intuitive graphical user interface, the Quix DR Console is used for system operation, image viewing and DICOM export. The Quix DR console includes preset exam protocols, barcode data entry, DICOM Worklist management and exam-specific image processing software utilizing advanced wavelet-based technology. Each Console can provide power and control for one or two QuixDB Digital Buckys.
